"Focusing on breathing' to heal the mind and body

I have been practicing the simple technique of ‘Focusing on Breathing’ for the last 9 years.
Initially I used it only for relaxation and stress relief. I practiced it at bed time, sitting and watching nature and while walking. Within a year, practicing the technique became spontaneous.
Then I used the technique at the beginning of my meditation, to reduce the wandering of my mind. After my mind became more focused, I added my mantra as well. Then added basic Yogic stretching practices which needed only 15 minutes. After practicing the meditation daily for an hour combined with stretching, for about 5 years, I have gradually experienced remarkable changes.
I now feel like I have a completely new mind and body - a mind that is free from negative thoughts about myself or others, and a body that is flexible and pain free.
I have been teaching these techniques to adults and children at Albany NY - libraries, state offices, my daughter’s medical office, Diabetes fairs, Cancer society‘s hope club, a school etc.
I have also been displaying the simple self help hand outs at a dozen local places. People have been picking up these hand outs and practicing the technique on their own, enjoying relief from several problems of mind and body - Anger, Anxiety, Asthma, Concentration, Dental work, Depression, Hypertension, Infertility treatment (supporting it), Insomnia, Job stress, Migraine, Obesity, Panic attacks, Chronic pains, Smoking and Stuttering.
