How Reiki brought me healing a direction

Back in 2004 I was introduced to Reiki. I had a session with Marian Boileau who had her own Reiki practice in a chiropractic office. I was open to exploring alternative healing modalities because, at the time my doctor's were worried about my kidney's and suggesting that I agree to have an invasive kidney biopsy. I was sure that the stress and burnout from a highly demanding mental health job was taking it's tole on my body, mind and spirit. I felt very relaxed during my Reiki session with Marian.
Days later I did the 24 hour urine test that my doctor wanted me to do before the biopsy and low and behold the protein and blood that was spilling out of my urine was no longer a factor. I was able to avoid the invasive procedure and I strongly believe the Reiki session I received was linked to my healing.
I eagerly signed up for a Reiki 1 class that was being offered through St. Charles and never looked back. Reiki changed the course of my life and in four years I devoted attention to Reiki and became both a Reiki Master and Karuna Master. Recently I have stepped out to teach Reiki classes and will soon be opening up a Reiki business.
I am so grateful that Reiki came into my life. As a Christian, Reiki offers a palpable healing modality and has provided a more intimate relationship with my creator. Reiki is an awe inspiring healing practice. Currently, I am volunteering at the Cancer Center at St. Charles once a week providing free Reiki to the cancer patients. The cancer patients love the Reiki and again I am humbled to hold sacred space and bear witness to the many Reiki miracles.
